Join us on March 19th for a really fun time. The last time we did this, people didn’t want to stop both when it came time to switch partners and when it was time to leave. How often does that happen at a professional development meeting?
Bring the following items with you to the meeting:
- Your 3-minute elevator speech. This is a short intro that you would be able to give to someone you just met that would tell them what type of job you were looking for, or what you currently do.
- Business cards
Here’s what we’ll do:
1. Give your 3-minute elevator speech. This is a short intro that you would be able to give to someone you just met that would tell them what type of job you were looking for, or what you currently do.
2. Be ready to talk for 6 minutes about yourself, then spend 6 minutes listening to another. Then we’ll switch partners and repeat.
This is a great way to get to know other STC members, talk about possible employment opportunities, and get connected in ways you just can’t or don’t when you attend regular chapter meetings. The last time we did this, members didn’t want to move on and it when it was over, they didn’t want to leave. When can you say that about a chapter meeting?
