More and more companies are moving to an Agile development process and this can leave technical writers and documentation teams unsure of how to continue to do their jobs. Agile is not a single process or workflow and there are still ways for technical writers to work with and within Agile teams to continue to create great documentation.
In this presentation, Maura will provide insights into Agile and what it means for technical writers. She will provide a definition of “Agile” and insights into the most common forms of Agile currently in use. Then she will talk about ways to manage writing teams in an Agile environment and how writers and writing teams can best integrate into Agile workflows.
Maura van der Linden is a Certified Scrum Master as well as a writer and she’s going to tell us what it is like to write within a 30-day scrum process when you’re used to turning in complete work and in Scrum, you don’t wait until the end to turn everything in. You publish in increments. She’s also writing a book on the same topic so we’ll get a taste of the topics she’s writing about.
